Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Fianchetto collects, how we use it, and your rights. We collect only what is necessary to provide and improve the Service.

We collect:

• Account information: email, name, and (optionally) your Chess.com username.
• Usage data: exercises attempted, answers, progress, coach conversations, timestamps.
• Billing data: handled by Stripe — we store your subscription status and customer ID, not your card number.
• Technical data: IP address, browser, and device information used for security and debugging.

We use your data to:

• Operate the Service — train the spaced repetition algorithm, personalize the AI Coach, show your progress.
• Process payments and manage subscriptions.
• Communicate important account notices (security, billing, material Terms changes).
• Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and violations of our Terms.

We share data only with processors strictly needed to run the Service: Supabase (database and auth), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), Anthropic / OpenAI / Google (AI Coach), and Resend (transactional email).

These providers process your data on our behalf under their own security and privacy standards. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

We use cookies that are strictly necessary for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

You have the right to:

• Access and export your data.
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Delete your account and associated data.
• Object to or restrict specific uses of your data.

We retain your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove personal data within 30 days, except for records we must keep for legal or tax reasons (such as billing history).
